A weekend retreat and teacher training for racialized Yoga teachers & dedicated students

Welcome Friend! You are formally invited to Soulga’s first ever retreat exclusively for racialized teachers and yoga students. This weekend retreat will be hosted at Bloom Holistic Retreat Centre, a BIPOC-owned property near Kingston, Ontario.

This retreat and training is exclusively for racialized Yoga teachers & dedicated students looking to cultivate meaningful connections with other melanated yogis and deepen their studentship on a beautiful lakeside property located just 3 hours from Toronto.

This is a sacred space created for US to learn, grow and connect more deeply with one another and are so excited to meet you!

Bloom hoslistic retreat centre

Our time together will be spent in Eastern, Ontario at Bloom Holistic Retreat Centre a BIPOC owned lakefront property, roughly 3 hours from both Toronto and Montreal. With over 25 kilometers of trails and 2 kilometers of lakefront we will have opportunities to wander, hike, swim, kayak, bike, meditate and be.

What’s Included

2 nights accommodations

Shared & private accommodations in one of the retreat’s beautiful suites. Linens and towels will be provided.

3 daily vegetarian meals

Daily breakfast, lunch, dinner served daily. Unlimited non-alcoholic beverages and snacks.

Daily Yoga & meditation

Daily yoga classes offered for folks interested in moving. Styles ranging from flow (vinyasa) to restorative and sound baths.

Workshops

A (3) hour hands-on adjustment workshop for Yoga teachers.

Kayaks & sauna

24/7 access to the retreat’s facilities and scenic trails.

All activities including yoga and the teacher training workshop are optional.

A non-refundable deposit of $250 is required to secure your room.

  • A 2nd payment of $250 is due 60 days after you pay your deposit.

  • Your outstanding balance will be due 120 days after your deposit is paid or by August 1st, 2024 (whatever day comes first).

  • Once you complete our welcome questionnaire you will be sent a link to register.

  • This retreat is exclusively for:

    *racialized Yoga teachers and students with a consistent practice.

  • A NON-refundable $250 CAD deposit is required to secure your room.

    A 2nd installment of $250 CAD is due 60 days after you pay your deposit.

    Your outstanding balance will be due 120 days after your deposit or by August 1st (whatever day comes first).

    Once you complete our welcome questionnaire you will be sent a link to register. Your room (and community grant if applicable) will only be held for 48 hours. If you need more time to pay your deposit please email us at soulgayoga@gmail.com Please be aware that rooms are first come first serve so there is no guarantee that we can save your spot.

  • We reserve the right to make any changes deemed necessary; including, but not limited to: advertised workshops, advertised meals, etc. We are not responsible for any expenses or damages incurred as a result of retreat cancellation including preparation costs, airline tickets, travel documents or other expenses. You will not be entitled to claim any additional amounts or seek any compensation for any injury, loss, expenses or damages (either direct or consequential) or for any loss of time or inconvenience which may result from a retreat cancellation. In the unlikely event that we must cancel a retreat due to weather, natural disaster or pandemic, we cannot guarantee a refund; it will be depending on receiving a refund from the venue/tour operator we work with. To cover these risks, again, we highly recommend you purchase travel insurance especially if you are travelling from outside the country.

    Cancellations prior to July 31st, 2024 will get a refund of the amount paid minus the $250 CAD deposit.**

    Cancellations on or after July 31st, 2024 will receive NO REFUND.

Our goal is to ensure EVERYONE has access to healing, professional development & wellness. We are offering (5) grants of up to $200 to anyone in need. Please request a grant in your application.
